In one scene beauty Terri Garr (playing wife Bobbi) tells John Denver (playing her husband Jerry) about a cab driver who claims he (the cabbie) drove Mary Magdalene to the airport. We never after that ever see Jerry asking God (George Burns) if the Almighty actually sent Mary Magdalene to Earth to meet people or did that cabbie lie or just honestly hallucinate her?
Since this film is about the Bible somewhat I will point that there is much scientific accuracy in the Good Book in real life. From ROUND EARTH HANGING ON NOTHING to water eroding rocks to wind directions and much more Bible has great scientific accuracy. Read "Ray Comfort's superb book (Scientific facts in the Bible) at amazon.

Jerry had a way of finding about the accuracy of the cabbie's claim but he (Jerry) never acted on it.

The scene in the movie where Jerry talked to God on the 27th floor of a 17-story building was interesting. Where was Jerry really?

Mech. The Bible has incredibly scientifically accurate statements one after another. Every time it talks about something in nature it is correct. Right down to the lion almost strangling (not breaking the neck of-) its victims). Until rather recently most thought lions broke the neck.

Plus, Bible more impressively (like I showed above)round Earth hanging on nothing. Sea animal life (day 5) created before land animal life and man last (day 6). Reptiles were created on day 5 (Septuagint version only shows this). Reptiles are often dinosaurs. Was not dino before man in science? And a whole lot more!

Ancient man (with no help from something outside nature as we understand) could not make a book this immensely accurate. I suppose I actually feel it is more likely (but not definite!!!)that the days were long geological eras of times rather than literal 24-hour solar days but either way that is not anywhere as important as the fact that God made man and the whole world and universe around man.

Back to the fine book by Comfort. He does a great job explaining much more of this than I have here.

At the trial scene it is reminiscent of the Bible book of Exodus with talk of God's miracle and magicians!
