It was entirely made up. And also its a short story Stephen King said he wrote when he was Gordie's age. In fact Gordie was pretty much him as a kid

That's interesting. King made a character about himself. That I didn't know

Ah yeah lol- he mentions in the book that Gordie is a successful writer who has had many of his books made into movies
