Do you think Gordy was telling a local legend he heard about or was it entirely made up. If anything the kid's plan was to clean and a little extragivigated like it was passed down

It was entirely made up. And also its a short story Stephen King said he wrote when he was Gordie's age. In fact Gordie was pretty much him as a kid

Ah yeah lol- he mentions in the book that Gordie is a successful writer who has had many of his books made into movies
