The apocalypse has arrived and a small group under the guidance of Michael try to protect a baby, the possible saviour of the world, against a horde of possessed people. Will they succeed? Who dies and who lives? What is the message?

It's crazy with horrific and bloody, sometimes strangely comical situations. A good popcorn flick. popcorn slight_smile

The little, old lady in it made me laugh.

Paul Bettany: further confirmation that professed atheists are second only to religious fundamentalists in their obsession with religion in all of it's incarnations. Take a glance at dude's credits over the past few years if you doubt me.

I don't see how an actor's role choices necessarily mean that they're taking them to make a statement. I did a little research and discovered that he was raised a Catholic and remains open minded.

From his CV the first religious role I've seen him play was Silas in The Da Vinci Code. That certainly could have led to a form of typecasting as he was recruited for similar roles. It's pretty common, also, for those roles to fall to men with English or German accents for some strange reason.

This is another movie set in a diner I've watched and liked. I don't know what that means, if anything. The Killing Jar was a good one too.

The kid from Sling Blade is in this film with a good role.

Hollywood likes to make movies which have Christianity tinted themes, but are not doctrinally very close to Christianity. Not sure why that is, but it seems to be a trend. It doesn't bother me, just an observation.

I enjoyed the film. The scene with the little old lady, where she gets really rude, violent, and then starts crawling on the ceiling like some demonic insect was pretty cool. Suddenly everybody realizes this is not a normal day.

One of the best lines: when Bob says possessed people, that's not real. And Percy says:

"Have you looked outside Bob? I mean... those people are not our regular customers."
