I enjoyed the movie a lot and they used excellent actors as the villains. However, I think that the ending felt a little too "Hollywood" in many ways and devolved into a pretty ridiculous demise for the villain. I'd say that a different abduction movie, Spoorloos (The Vanishing) is a far more harrowing film with a realistic flow and ending. (This is the 1988 foreign film, not the horrible U.S. remake)

Okay, yeah, the ending was over the top, but still, it has things that are rare to find in movies of its genre...it still stands out as original despite all the numerous movies out there, and that's pretty amazing all these years.
