I don't understand how they messed it up so badly. It had a great cast, nostalgia factor, and cameos of almost all the cast of the original show. The first half showed promise then it just got weird (even weirder than the original show). Sci-fi writers during the 90's always seem to go for the existential instead of the adventure of space travel. I think if this was rebooted with current mindset of just having a fun family space adventure film it could do very well.

Mimi Rogers in a tight leather outfit nearly made the movie worthwhile. Unfortunately, the plot, the child actors, and the direction destroyed what little joy Mimi brought to the picture.

Actually, I really liked the movie. The Robot was very cool looking, and I liked the tv series casts members cameos.
