But leaves a pretty sociable girlfriend of a jock? That part was always a little hard for me to swallow, her entire persona and style changed just like that. Just the way she has Andy's jacket around her and takes his patch, she looked like the cliche jock girlfriend. Also when she said "Is that good or bad?" with that smile, it just didn't sound like her at all, total different person out of the blue. No one changes their personality and look that quick.

Bender didn't change at the end, Clair didn't change, Andy didn't change, Brian didn't change, it was always weird to me Allison had to change.

Good answer.

Sort of like "To Sir, with Love," when Sydney takes the delinquents from crayons to perfume with just one speech.

But Allison really does need to change here -- or at least atone for that horrid acting performance on the floor of the library.

She's much less annoying in "St. Elmo's Fire," later that year, so they probably hoped very much that 1985 would mark a year of improvement for her.

Too bad that David Lansbury's fine talents did not influence her to mature as a Hollywood performer ought to do.

I'm with you, plus she looked nicer before the "makeover". OTH, this is the era that changed the original ending to "Pretty in Pink" because the test audiences wanted Andie to partner up with the rich vanilla guy.

I agree that Allison had more going on before the makeover, but at least she shook out all that dandruff.

DONT FORGET...SHE WAS UNWASHED,FLAKY AND DRESSED IN LESS THAN CLEAN BLACK RAGS SHE PROBABLY GRABBED OFF THE FLOOR.
