Why didnt Jennifer eat Roman?

She was eating the whole school body and yet the one guy she would have easy access to was left untouched

I thought he did, but this time I noticed that he was wearing a hat and a guy helping people get out when the fire boards fall was wearing one.
When Needie and Jennifer leave you can see this same guy running out.
Checked the memorial and his name doesn't appear and a guy who had the script when it came out said he arrested Needie after killing Jennifer

There's a scene where they are at Needie's house and Jennifer tells her everything that happened. Needie says, "I'm going to the cops." Jennifer replies, "I have them in my back pocket. I'm fucking a cadet."
So, she probably just saw the value in being close to someone in law enforcement.
