Discuss Zombieland

Anyone know why they idolized Bill Murray, out of all the comedians they could have idolized? Yeah, he was great in his older movies, Ghostbusters being a classic. But is he really at that level of stardom to have a whole section of the movie devoted to him? Did it seem a bit forced, like he wrote that part because he wanted to exemplify his existence or something like that?
