ريح الاوراس - أول فيلم طريق للسينما الجزائرية - يصف تحولات الحياة اليومية للشعب الجزائري خلال الاحتلال الفرنسي المدمر ثم خلال حرب التحرير. مع القمع العسكري على قدم وساق، تجد امرأة فلاحية نفسها وحيدة في منزلها الجبلي عندما يختطف الجنود الفرنسيون ابنها الوحيد بعد وقت قصير من وفاة زوجها خلال غارة. في أحد الأيام، رأت دجاجة ميتة، الأمر الذي اعتبرته نذير شؤم، قررت مغادرة المنزل وبدأت رحلة مؤلمة عبر الجبال. تسافر برفقة دجاجتين من معسكر اعتقال إلى آخر في بحث يائس عن ابنها المفقود. الفيلم مستوحى من الأحداث التي عاشتها عائلة المخرج.

Le Vent des Aurès – the first road movie of Algerian cinema – describes the transformations of the daily life of the Algerian people during the destructive French occupation, then during the war of liberation. While military repression is in full swing, a peasant woman finds herself alone in her mountain home when her only son is kidnapped by French soldiers shortly after her husband's death during a raid. One day, seeing a dead chicken, which she considers a bad omen, she decides to leave home and embarks on a painful journey through the mountains. Accompanied by a couple of chickens, she moves from one detention camp to another in a desperate search for her missing son. The film is inspired by the events experienced by the director's family.

Le Vent des Aurès – premier road movie du cinéma algérien – décrit les des transformations du quotidien du peuple algérien durant la destructrice occupation française, puis lors de la guerre de libération. Alors que la répression militaire bat son plein, une paysanne se retrouve seule dans sa maison à la montagne lorsque son fils unique est enlevé par des soldats français peu après la mort de son mari lors d'un raid. Un jour, voyant un poulet mort, ce qu'elle considère comme de mauvais augure, elle décide de quitter la maison et se lance dans un pénible voyage à travers les montagnes. Accompagnée d'un couple de poules, elle se déplace d'un camp de détention à l'autre dans une recherche désespérée de son fils disparu. Le film s'inspire des événements vécus par la famille du réalisateur.
