Discuss Chappie

This movie is fantastic. Even better than District 9.

Wow. I mean, wow.

Then again, I love the prospects of sentient AI and sci-fi, so I am hugely biased.. but this was a very well put-together film.

Neill needs to get a sequel to District 9 in the works now.

the idea of working on the sequel seems sensible but choosing chappie over district 9 is a poor choice

Chappie works fine as a standalone feature though. District 9 has massive potential for a sequel.

I enjoyed the movie well enough. Definitely didn't agree with a lot of the flak it was getting when it released. The tattoo-ridden couple annoyed me, but I liked the idea of the story and the characters weren't anything too outrageous. I thought the film did a decent job of conveying emotion from a robot in an interesting way.

I think Blomkamp generally does pretty decent work. District 9 was interesting, Elysium was alright-ish, would have loved to see him take a crack at Alien. Haven't watched Oats Studios, but I've heard good things about it.

I despise anthropomorphized robots and animals in movies.

And I really want a D9 sequel.
