This movie strikes me very much as Oliver Stone trying to reckon with the world, America's place in it and his idealism vs. the nihilism and expediency that he sees among decision makers...

Alexander is just a prisim through which he is taking us along in his journey...

The movie makes a lot iof sense, and works well that was..i dont think it was ever meant to be a historical document...
