I think it was Arabic...

Ah, cool. Interesting also that "A Perfect Murder" can apply to...each killing in the film. Each one is either justifiable homicide/self-defence or has no witnesses or evidence to determine a suspect.

The first one you could no doubt see it was justifiable. But killing her husband, she sure got away with that easily enough.

It was kinda hot to hear her speak in a foreign language... they should do it in movies more often...

It was "A Perfect Murder"!

You're right, it was relaxed

Do you mean the conversation between Detective Karaman (David Suchet) and Emily (Gwyneth Paltrow) or the one between Karaman and his wife?

Here is the one with Karaman and Emily (subtitles turned on):

Emily: "How old is your boy?"

Karaman: "One month."

Emily: "Is he ill?"

Karaman: "Colic."

Emily: "May God watch over your son and protect him."

Karaman: "And you as well."

Thank you!

I was suspicious he said something to her about the case.

Meanwhile, what kind of low-rent lawyer lets a cop talk to his client in a foreign language and not get a translation on record? That blew me away.

Paltrow speaking Arabic was so bad that a translator would have problems translating it. Suchet sounded a bit better, perhaps because of his travels as Poirot to the Middle East, e.g. Egypt, Iraq and Jordan. wink
