I don't know why I thought this film would be crap but it turned out to be all right. It's true that it doesn't have much of a plot but I still found the main character to be quite endearing. I thought it was a little weird that Sargeant Toomi played by Christopher Walken was giving Jerome and Epstein shit for being "New York boys" while donning a New York accent himself but meh, just a nitpick.

It came from a classic play written by Neil Simon (Murder by Death, The Odd Couple, The Goodbye Girl, etc), and directed by an amazing director Mike Nichols (Catch-22, The Graduate, Birdcage) and of course CHRISTOPHER WALKEN. This movie is definitely a classic.

Damn, those creds are quite impressive. I also must mention that I thought Broderick was excellent in this film. Dude definitely had chops.

Definitely for me that was the surprising part. I remember thinking, Damn, Ferris Buehler can act!
