The Queen Productions version (Queen Rock Montreal) also has a completely remixed Soundtrack and inserts 1 and a half songs which were removed from the 'We Will Rock You' version: Queen's cover of 'Jail House Rock' and the operatic opening to 'now I'm here' .
Other than that the footage is absolutely identical, same editing points, same camera angles and so on, although tinted yellow on the Rock Montreal release..... making Roger Taylor look like he has jaundice.
Thanks for the research and info guys! I'm thinking we should go with the original version and add the newer one as an alternative title. When we eventually add support for multiple versions of the same movie we can add the newer one as a different version of the original. I noticed you are thinking Banana, but maybe it's easier to keep only one version. However, if we decide to keep both we should have a list with exceptions when it comes to different versions.
I think we should go with one entry too, as in the article it says; "It succeeds on all accounts, despite having no additional footage to introduce." Should add it in the release date though, with a note like "digitally restored, reedited and sonically enhanced"!
I moved everything to the original entry and added as much info as I could to make it clear the entry is for all versions of We Will Rock You/Rock Montreal. (Full disclosure: I cheated just a little bit and there are a few dates I'm unsure of. )
I'll add them to my list of entries that need the future rating migrator tool.
It's not official, any release of queen live in Knebworth is footage filmed from a big screen above the stage. Queen didn't bother saving the recording of the concert as they had already filmed Wembley and Budapest from the tour.
There's load of profilmed backstage stuff but only snippets of the concert.

I think I agree, but i'm wondering if the Rock Montreal one is different enough to be a separate entry.
@Mods from what I could piece together:
Sources: Wiki, iTunes, Queen Live, Queen Online

More info, I've owned both of these.

You can see them side by side here.

@lineker Do you know if we have rules against bootlegged shows ?

I think those are not allowed. But we have to check each case since some bands release official bootlegs* of shows and those are fine.
