Cooper too old

They should had got another actor to portray the younger Lou Gehrig. Cooper looked creepy flirting with the much younger Teresa Wright.

I agree. Cooper's age makes his portrayal of Lou Gehrig unconvincing, thus as a viewer it becomes difficult to enjoy the narrative.

He's age appropriate in the final speech. They could have had a different actor playing the younger Gehrig but that wasn't too common back then.
