  1. The character of Maria -- like the Virgin Mary indeed

  2. Crosses in the film

  3. The Tower of Babel story Maria tells the impoverished workers.

  4. The Christian (Catholic?) Cathedral the last two scenes take place in and near.

  5. Slim as a monk (long lost footage found around 2010)

  6. Like the Bible there are many versions of Metropolis.
