Debate The Karate Kid

  1. Reseda is the poor/wrong side of the Valley to be from
  2. It's perfectly safe to have a karate tournament where kids fight each other in full contact fighting with no protective head gear or padding what so ever
  3. If you have a serious athletic injury forget the finest hospitals and doctors, Mr. Miyagi magically rubbing his hands together fast is a far superior option to heal you instantly
  4. Making a teenage boy clean and repaint your home will turn them into a better martial artist in a matter of days than his opponents who studied for the last 10 years
  5. If you befriend the old creepy Japanese maintenance man he will give you one of his nice classic cars as a gift just because you have been his friend for only 2 weeks

despite that the rules specifically said 'no hits to the head', it's totally okay to win the final match of the tournament by kicking your opponent in the head as long as you have a zen crane moment.

LOL

No. 7: Being booted square in the face, in front of a large audience by some kid you've spent the whole film victimising, will not cause any sense of humiliation and further dislike towards him. It will, in fact, cause you to find the kid "alright" now 🤔

rofl

No. 8- The neighborhood kids REALLY like Mrs. Larusso's car

No. 9 - You get a friendly invitation to a party as soon as you arrive in a new place! BUT if you happen to get into a fight with the local Karate champ - and (surprise, surprise) lose - your new "friends" not only won't help you, but in fact will henceforth ridicule and ostracize you...

No. 10 - "wax on, wax off" sounds like Miyagi describing the daily routine of a chronic masturbator :p

LMAO! I always thought it was odd that kid invited Daniel to a party instantly after meeting him and the Daniel happened to kick the door into his face right? Then like you said they are buds at the beach party all day all night and soon as he fights Johnny all of them just leave him as if he did them wrong lol.

No, kicks to the head were clearly allowed in the first film. If not, why did several of the Cobra score points by doing the same thing? The rules were changed in Part 3.

LOL Are you referring to the beginning when Daniel and his mom leave NJ for Cali?

No, he was referring to the line one of the Cobras shouts out as they drive away during the Golf N' Stuff date, with the intent of mocking her. "I really like your car Mrs. Larusso!".

Really? Man I gotta rewatch that. You are talking when Daniel and Ali go on the date to Golf N' Stuff and Mrs. Larusso picks them up? How embarrassing lol. I don't remember that I have to rewatch that scene. I only remember the car stalling and they have to push it to kickstart the engine again which is sketchy as hell.

Yep, it's just after the date, when they are about to leave. And no worries, we all forget stuff, lol.
