...didn't just lock the door when she saw the guys coming back again and again and again? As someone working in brothel she should know what are men capable of.

Maybe there were no door locks? What would a brothel need them for anyway?

Yet the most "capable" person in this scene wasn't a man.

But for a more serious answer, I thought it was precisely for this reason that she did not consider the situation more serious: such incidents would not have been an unusual sight to her. If you live in a rough neighborhood, you're not going to call the police every time there's an altercation in the street the same way someone in an upscale suburb would; you just grow accustomed to it and go on minding your own business.

yeah, but people in rough neighborhoods mind their business behind locked doors, exactly because they know they need to take precautions

It's exactly the opposite: situations others might consider dangerous they see as usual or perhaps even natural because they're so used to them and thus don't feel the need to take any precautions.

The analogy would be more like: if you saw a couple of drunks arguing on a sidewalk in front of you, you'd probably cross to the other side of the street or even make a detour to avoid walking past them. A person who lives there and sees it every other day will just pass in between them. 99 times they walk past nothing happens but on the 100th iteration one drunk throws a bottle at another, which hits the pedestrian passing by.
