Discuss Star Wars: Skywalker'ın Yükselişi

This guy keeps writing articles on Star Wars. https://www.forbes.com/sites/scottmendelson/2020/03/19/the-dumbest-rise-of-skywalker-plot-twist-ruined-disneys-star-wars-trilogy/

I think his take is brilliant. Shows that JJ Abrams was out of his depth in being poignant, or epic in Star Wars saga. Slightly redeems TLJ... yes Holdo is possibly the worst char in SW universe, but RJ didn't butcher Rey or the OT like JJ did with RTOS.

Okay, but Forbes really is a click-bait site. They generate articles to drive traffic, picking controversial topics and hiding them behind either a mandatory log-in or the removal of ad-blockers. (Not that that's a bad thing, per se, but it's really obvious what they're doing.) At this point, ROS and TLJ have been beaten so hard, and by so many "ex-fans", that all that remains of the corpse is perhaps a hoof here and a fragment of a bridle.

At this point, I just don't see how anyone can have any passion about the issue anymore. Star Wars was pretty cool. I grew up as a fan of it, too. But at some point you have to recognize that very little new is being said and that their new series, thus far, take very few risks. That goes for The Mandalorian, which while mildly entertaining, is pretty rote action. As a Sci-Fi geek, I find that shows like The Expanse are much more dynamic, surprising and interesting than anything Star Wars has brought to the table in the last forty years. Give me a head-to-head between Amos and Din Djarin and I'd pick Amos every time.

I'm kinda done reading these articles or watching the (endless) YT vids. The only review I want right now is Plinkett's Picard dissection.

Yeah can't wait for Mr. Plinkett to tear Picard (and probably Discovery) a new asshole.Have you checked the ScriptDoctor Youtube reviews that breakdown the Picard episodes from a narrative perspective(ScriptDoctor is a proffesional writer and script writer who has worked in the entertainment industry)
