Discuss Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker

"Star Wars: The High Republic | Announcement Trailer"

The "Star Wars Saga" continues with "Star Wars: The High Republic", previously known as "Project Luminous".

In August 2020 there will be three novels and two comic book series, followed by many more.

From Lucasfilm to Launch Star Wars: The High Republic Publishing Campaign in 2020:

New stories will explore the Star Wars galaxy set 200 years before the events of The Phantom Menace.

Later this year, Lucasfilm will launch an epic new era of Star Wars storytelling that will be explored through multiple voices in adult and young adult novels, children’s books, and comics from a variety of publishers including Disney Lucasfilm Press, Del Rey, IDW Publishing, and Marvel.

Star Wars: The High Republic, which has previously been referred to as “Project Luminous”, will be set in an era when the Galactic Republic and the Jedi Order are at their zenith, about 200 years before the events of Star Wars: The Phantom Menace. This period on the Star Wars timeline will not overlap any of the filmed features or series currently planned for production, giving creators and partners a vast amount of room to tell Star Wars stories with new adventures and original characters.

“We are so excited to be opening up such a rich, fertile era for our authors to explore,” says Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy. “We’ll get to see the Jedi in their prime.”

Many questions might be aswered.

"Who is the Real First Jedi?" Is the presumed one a lie?

As in "Doctor Who", is the whole truth going to be revealed about the Force and the Jedi Knights?

Or will we have to wait and see this in the - not yet planned - new movies and (animated) television series?

Now that we know that there are other 'heroic' Jedi Knights, and there will be many more stories told about them, the question arises:

Is the story of Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia and Han Solo just one among the many told, starting with "a galaxy far, far away..."?

Are they then still really that important?

Star Wars The High Republic A Cheech And Chong Story.

With pacifist diversity college transsexual dinosaurs hunting for Arthurian relics for various houses .

First Jedi? Wouldn't that have to be much, much farther back than just 200 years? Even though Disney lobotomized the expanded universe and called it 'Legends,' it's stated in the prequel trilogy that the Jedi have been keepers of the peace, etc. etc. for 5'000 years or some such. I don't have the actual quote, but I know it's stated on-screen, so they can't very well just ignore that?

The quote was" for over a thousand generations."

Alright, so 1'000 generations. At the usually accepted rate of about 25 years per, that makes for at least 25'000 years. And Disney says we're going back 200 years?

It's because arithmetic is racist plus these guys don't know jack about science the writers of the new Star Trek have proven that.

hey they have to tell the story about a jedi rock i still can't believe how stupid that sounds a literal rock lmao
