Discusión Star Wars: The Last Jedi

Princess Leia gets expelled into the Vacuum of space and freezes to like death and her frozen body is floating in that vacuum of space and then suddenly her eyes opens and she stretches one of her arm, and like a Marry Poppins, dives her way back to the ship.

Its even worse than Nuking the Fridge from Indian Jones 4.

Lol, it's very bad and at the level of Nuking the Fridge, but I don't think it beats it. I think it's even behind the Julia Roberts being Julia Roberts moment from Ocean's Twelve.

That's true - you've already reached Poe's crank call by that point, surely up there with SuperLeia, and not long after we have Luke drinking the freshly milked space sea-cow's mammary fluid.

All wonderful moments - TLJ really spoiled us.

I still, STILL have to wonder why so many found TLJ fresh and compelling. I think some people were just really open to the messages that Johnson wanted to push, such as inclusivity, especially that virtually anyone could have force powers. (Feeding our fantasy that we all have hidden abilities that make us special.)

(PS: That stuff with Poe at the beginning, most of all, was just abject silly nonsense.)

Everyone loves to watch Mary Poppins in Star Wars movies.

People like you guys are why Solo did poorly in the cinema, and why they're reconsidering making an Obiwan movie.

You are why we can't have nice things.

Actually your thinking of Kathleen Kennedy but carry on

Haha this fucker trolling? The reason we cant have 'nice things' is because of SJW Kennedy literally fucking everything up with her politics and the force is female bullshit. This is the reason SW has becoming the dirty creature it is now and the reason why no one wants to take over.

Yeah, you guys have no legitimate reasons for hating the new movies. That's okay, but know that it's all subjective stuff. :)

no legitimate reasons

Yeah sure. Keep trolling.

Actually it is funny to consider Poe's "comedy" moments at the beginning of these nu-Star Wars films - it was the same when Kylo Ren was introduced at the beginning of TFA.

Contrast Poe cracking his wise-guy "where do I speak, it's hard to know with all this apperatus" (when he / we the audience are supposed to be terrified by the new "baddie"), bizarrely reducing Kylie Ren instantly as a joke, against Vader's ANH introduction:- throttling Captain Antilles as he lifts him clean off the ground!

Quite a contrast in tone from the off in these new films...

I still don't get why some people have such a hard time to accept Poe's jokes in the beginning of the movie.

Because its stupid as hell it makes the general look like a buffoon how are his troops supposed to respect an idiot like that

Because it looks funny as hell and the general doesn't look like a buffon at all. The general was just caught by surprise. And this is Star Wars.
