I just signed up to make sure nobody steals my nickname, however I don't know if I'll be a regular. I don't like the layout of the forums, there is too much space between comments, it's too white. I hope they make it more easy for the eye.
Every new change is annoying at first, I remember everytime IMDb's layout changed significantly it made me almost consider quitting at times.
I can get used to the look. I just hope they make it a little easier to navigate. On IMDB, I had a favorites list that showed when a certian board got posts on it, etc. Plus it was easy to navigate my posting history.
Hello all. Just signed up too. Glad to find a message board to every movie. Without a doubt TMDB it's the perfect choice.
I think it's a matter of time. In a few weeks lots of movies will have interesting threads and discussions. In a few months probably we will find good opinions in all kind of movies. And this is good news (i see a big and significative diference between today and a couple of weeks ago).
Will be funny read some day this site increased their members 100000% just in february 20th.
Let's rate and discuss, with respect and fun!
Hope my english will be better than other sites ;P
And definetly there will be more than one Jedi here...
Hello all...I too have just signed up. I was a reader of the message boards on IMDb but since we are still fresh I decided to throw my hat in the ring here. Site looks cool and it seems the the owners of the website are working to make the experience great. I just don't understand why IMDb just turned their backs on the fans.
I'm just going to ignore the other sites, probably the best way to get everybody here is to concentrate on this site and stop posting on them. There is no doubt in my mind that, while there are some still IMDB features I'd like to see incorporated here, it is still it's only REAL competition. I was so happy that I posted on a TV show that is not found on the other boards, and people actually responded.

There is only one that, for me, is critical and that's a trivia section. It was always my favorite place to find interesting behind-the-scenes facts about movies and actors I've enjoyed and it's sorely missed here. Much of it can also be found on Wikipedia, but the bullet-based format on the IMDB is far superior to the paragraphs used on the Wiki. I hope that the site admin here quickly creates a field for that and places it prominently alongside the other data on each movie's homepage. I'd start editing immediately to fill in trivia for my favorite films.

Yeah. I'm sure they'll integrate that too, as well a "goofs" section and technical specs. I doubt that would be a terribly big deal from a development perspective, and I say that as a web developer.

@Ahstaroth is right, it's not that hard, I just have to find the time. I'll definitely be getting to it.
