Anybody else? Stabbing Evelyn, and then betraying Imhotep. Not to mention she was a huge snob. On a positive note though, Anck-su-namun inspired a character in one of my short stories. I created a superheroine, and one of her enemies is a cursed ancient Egyptian. You guessed it, this cursed ancient Egyptian was loosely inspired by Anck-su-namun. _^ Just felt like sharing that. LOL

They should have made a movie with her in the leading role as the mummy. There have been enough movies with male mummies.

Yes indeed. Speaking of which, there's a new mummy movie coming out this summer with a female as the title character: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vJxgxVH0Fsk

It looks promising, but I'm not too keen on Tom Cruise being in the leading role. He will be playing the same type of character as Ethan in the "Mission: Impossible" movies, or Jack in the "Jack Reacher" movies. It would be like one of them fighting the mummy and the emphasis will be on Tom Cruise and not so much on the mummy. So, using a female mummy just for diversity, to make it a bit more interesting? Otherwise it would be Tom Cruise against a male mummy, and that has been done before with other actors. I guess they needed a big name actor so the movie would attract a larger audience. In the end it will be the male hero with his female partner fighting the female mummy. Guess who'll win? Will there be a twist? I hope so.
Of course I may be wrong and the fact that the mummy is female will be more than just a token. She will then return in a sequel, scarier and more devastating than her male counterparts.
