Impact is XBMC movie search can not find this movie under the English title.

I can confirm this. It is probably related to the ie in Algiers, which is an old issue. I made a post here so the admin can take a look at it.

I'm not seeing any issues with searching for this title: https://www.themoviedb.org/search?query=The+Battle+of+Algiers
The website and API use the same search and it is also appearing properly on the API.

Hi Travis,
Apologies, you are correct. The issue is with the copy I downloaded. The title was "The Battle for Algiers" not "The Battle of Algiers".
Replacing the "for" with "of" in the title corrects the problem.

Oh, I should have noticed that, but I was in a hurry. Good that is is resolved though! :)
