This is French cinema at its finest. We actually do not know who is crazy in this film the husband or the wife. I side with the husband but then again Vincent Landon is so cute who could resist? But he plays someone very honest and altruistic so I am on the husband's side. But it is definitely a toss up for many. We think we see the protagonist shaving off his mustache in the beginning but do we really? What is really going on? According to Emmanuelle Devos she had no clue. Funny interview with her on the film. How can you act when you have no clue what is going on. Actors. The film is about a relationship that is falling apart and it hinges on the insistence by the male that he had a mustache and he has shaven it and his wife refuses to notice. The wife maintains he never had a mustache. A lot of suspense and creative clues throughout the film lead the viewer to different conclusions. The cinematography is beautiful.; it is filmed in Paris and Asia. Spoiler: I side with Vincent's character because he actually makes the trip to Asia to recover the relationship; he is more invested in it than she so I think he is the sane one or he would not have insisted on or been so bothered by her ignorance of the disappearance of La Moustache.
