I enjoyed this movie, but the one scene I DIDN'T like is when the German officer strangled that woman.I kept thinking she would grab something and hit him with it or something but that never happened.

She was a traitor. She needed to be dealt with and Hans didn't mind getting his hands dirty on that kill

I'm not a fan of the scene myself. I once watched this film with my mother. My mother said she kept thinking that a basterd or two would run into the room and rescue von Hammersmark. After I thought about it, I realized that that's just not The Tarantino Way.

No way does QT do that. If Hans gets taken out that way, we don't have the great ending of Lt. Aldo giving him that nice swastika Keloid on his forehead at the end. I was fine with von Hammersmark getting hers. I was more upset when Hugo Stiglitz bought it in the shootout.

People generally don't seem to get rescued in Tarantino's films, lol. That's what I meant. Sometimes, it happens, but not often.

Only if you really, really need to be rescued. Like Ving Rhames did in Pulp Fiction.

The end justifies the means. She got to redeem herself, in the eyes of Aldo Raines. Ultimately, this is all that matters.
