Memories of the premier:

A friend and I lived in a small college town. The movie wasn't going to open in our little burg, so we would have to drive to the city. We wanted the be the first people in town to be in line. There was a rival group of nerds who also had plans on attending. So the night before the premier, we sneaked to the parking lot and let half the air out of one of the tires of the car that they would be driving.

Success!!

We made it to the mall and were the very first people in line to see the movie. (And some of the mall goers saw us in line and rolled their eyes at our kind.) Our rivals showed up half an hour later three places back in line. We could hear the driver complain that his car kept pulling to the left while his buddies laughed at him. And we shared a silent celebratory laugh.

Ah. Yes. We were so childish.

But we did at least virtuously applaud the Greenpeace approved message in the movie.
