The only disgusting part of it was the bathroom sound effect when Ellis was relieving herself in the pail when she got seasick after consuming the awful mutton stew. That was totally unnecessary!
I felt bad for the Irish guy, she should have come clean in person,before he fell for her. I wish they had did a voice over when he read her goodbye letter.
Overall, a nice period film.
