Discuss Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales

Liked part 1 ,2 and 3, found part 4 over the top and lazily written. Is this worth watching ? Is Bardem any good in this ?

I would say that it is worth going to the theatre to watch it. I've never been a fan of any of the other ones.

This is much better than four thankfully, and Bardem is fantastic- best villain since Barbossa in the first film. I think if you liked those first three, there is a good chance this one will also satisfy.

I'm trying to go for an engaging, funny youtube channel so, if you have the time, take a look. Hope you enjoy what you see. Thanks in advance. Review here-https://youtu.be/Ifd_yV1ZFNg

I checked it out; I loved it. Also, I think I've seen you on Youtube before. I'm glad you talked about the video quality...besides it looking a little soft; I was looking for a 1080p setting and only saw up to 720p. I like to see 1080p minimum, and like to use 1440p if available. Of course sometimes I see the 2160p option for those who have 4k displays. The contrast I'm sure will improve when you switch using the new equipment.

I remember before seeing the first one; I had learned the Pirate movie was being based off from the ride in Disneyland. Of course I wasn't expecting to see the ride, but I was still very disappointed...until this very last one. With all the action at the start of this movie (as you had talked about;) it was finally like being on that ride!

Yea, saw it. Actors are good, but the script is very weak and bad directing.

Definitely worth it. It's designed to be seen on the big screen. Loved it! Just as good as the first film, imo.
