This was a well enough acted story if a bit - well - ordinary. One wonders how Toby Jones turns up in so many productions - he and Eddie Marsan seem to be ever present faces these days on both sides of the pond. I wish that writers would find some more plausible ways of making people discover things - I mean what is the point of putting the key to a locked drawer into an unlocked drawer - and why would you leave incriminating ledgers in a safe and then give a worker the keys? I also found it somewhat demeaning that a woman can turn into a psychopath if she has a miscarriage.

Yeah, it's just a terrible story in general. SO many implausibilities that render it a forgettable film. Funny how the cook Pemberton was fooling around with wasn't good enough for him, but instead he becomes enamored of a woman who let her family burn up in a house fire. And that forced ending with the panther, ugh.
