I lived in LA when that freeway was being built (The 105) I've taken that ramp many times and every time I drove over it would pretend i was in the bus going over the now completed section of freeway.

The whole movie was way over the top, so the ramp jump was no big deal lol... Then there was the train going off the tracks too, which didn't really raise an eyebrow for me.

Just to mention, Speed is one of my favourite movies. Watched it numerous times.

Speed is awesome and I love that scene. Yeah it's over the top, but Speed is so over the top is great. I love the Speed theme too.

Yes the theme music is great. Speed is one of those movies you suspend belief and just enjoy.

The Speed theme is fantastic, they don't make them like that anymore.

I watched this again after a long time, and I loved it just as much as ever! The cheese and the unrealistic bits were just right for entertainment! I must say the bus going up without a ramp, and speeding the train up to jump the track, were the hardest parts to watch though haha. It was just entertaining though, so I was able to handle it 😂

Oh goodness, I wasn't able to get my head around The Net back when it was released. Love Sandy B in heaps of other movies though!
