I think The Rock is still Bay's best but this one was alright. He lost me with Transformers onward. I avoided Pain & Gain but might check it out eventually since I hear it's better than his typical stuff lately.
The Island is head and shoulders above his other films... If it was made by another director he would have been hailed by critics as the next Kubrick...
... ok, maybe I'm exaggerating, but it is really good

Thought you were a fan, by your name. I had to check
Yeah, it was a remake of Clonus that they didn't want to admit to, and got sued because of it. Me and my friends saw it immediately after watching this in the theaters as we had watched Clonus before (and it's one of our most referenced movies when we talk about the future of medicine). When I heard that this went to court, I was like WTF it was so obviously Clonus that there was no chance in hell Bay and the gang would win, and of course they didn't.

Nah, either Pain & Gain or Bad Boys is his best.

I would have to say that future generations will come to regard Armageddon as his only truly seminal piece of work...

I actually did enjoy 13 Hours, didn't even realize it was from Bay until recently, lol.

Just a pale imitation of The Clonus Horror.
