An experiment gone wrong or an alien creature? It seemed like the green goo from the lonesome death of Jordy.
I think it's the same oil slick monster that ate Lt. Yar on Star Trek: TNG.
My first thought was... "Hefty Hefty Cinch Sak"
That garbage bag from the commercials? Yeah it did resemble it if mutated
That's the one, lol... When it rises up at the end it reminded me of a giant clam opening up. Maybe some kind of mutation with the thick toxic covering instead of a shell.

I was watching slither which was more comedy than horror and I think this could be it's own film if done right
