Discuss The Bridge at Remagen

Perhaps not the topic the reader was thinking, but I have a question for anyone who saw this in theaters or on DVD - are the nighttime scenes as dark as they appear on TV? It is distracting how dark it is in some scenes, especially at the end, and it takes away from the film as the viewer can barely figure out what is going on in certain scenes due to the way it was filmed. Does anyone else have this problem?
