Just rewatching this film in stages throughout the day (not finished yet!) but as it sits on my thoughts I've got to say that the few seconds that George walks back alone along the platform is incredible.

He's just been told by his brother about the job offer and the realisation plays out on his face that he must allow his brother to take the position dooming him to staying in Bedford Falls. Brilliant acting and direction to have that moment in there - a very haunting few seconds.
