Did I miss something here? At the beginning of the film Gary is clearly stated as being fifteen. There's no mention of a birthday and/or drivers' test/license. So once he buys Joes truck, he is driving illegally, right? Even in a fairly remote area of rural Texas I would have thought it would be hard to get away with this for long - or maybe I'm wrong and this is commonplace in that part of the world...?
