Discuss Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan

What's the other contenders?

I'd say:-
Star Wars OT
Planet Of The Apes Reboot Trilogy

Against those two it certainly stands up. Any other contenders?

Back to the Future

Dollars Trilogy

Superman I,II,III

Of course Back To The Future!

Dollars sci-fi though? Supernatural maybe...

Suprrman. Interesting, not sure I'd consider them a trilogy as such though, although I do enjoy Superman 3.

You're right about Dollars, it's just a great trilogy.

I'll replace it with Night/Dawn/Day of the Dead.

I don't know that anything really tops Wrath of Khan. I wouldn't want to put any of my favorite movies up against that, only to see them smacked down.

The Mad Max trilogy was decent.

The Dollars "trilogy", while good was not science fiction. It also did not have a singular story thread throughout the movies. It wasn't even clear that the man with no name was the same character in each movie.

I don't really consider superhero movies to be science fiction, but if they were, the three Christopher Nolan Dark Knight movies were pretty good.

I kind of consider Escape from Planet of the Apes, Conquest of the Planet of the Apes, and Battle for Planet of the Apes to be a trilogy within the original five Planet of the Apes movies.

Star Trek II - IV was the best Science Fiction trilogy I have seen, though.

That's a good call - the only ones I'd consider definitely on the same timeline.
