Discuss White Mane

Such a beautiful film, I was surprised to see this landscape exists in the south of France with wild horses in marshy dunes. There are some amazing shots of these horses and the young boy riding the titular horse bareback at high speeds through treacherous terrain was exhilarating. The ending was certainly not expected. 8/10

Oui, very beautiful. I've seen two versions, one is in black and white and the other is in colour.

Crin Blanc: Le cheval sauvage (1953) - Noir et blanc

Crin Blanc: Le cheval sauvage (1953) - Coloré

Cool, thank you. I had no idea of the color version, I will check it out.

Very interesting that this director and the younger boy are from The Red Balloon. I love that film since I first saw it in early 70s.

The director Albert Lamorisse's son Pascal was in both shorts. His daughter Sabine was the girl with the blue balloon in "Le Ballon rouge (1956)" - video.
