Der scheue Einzelgänger Luc lernt in den Ferien den lebensfrohen Strandverkäufer Manuel kennen. Zwischen beiden entwickelt sich eine Freundschaft, die für sie eine Herausforderung bedeutet: Luc muss lernen, sich zu öffnen, während Manuel die Empfindlichkeiten seines neuen Freundes zu erfahren hat... Die Regisseurin Irène Jouannet hat sich durch drei Kurzfilme ausgezeichnet, von denen 1999 "L'autre Célia" Preise auf diversen Festivals errang. 1995 drehte sie den Film "Morgen in Versailles". 1998 folgte mit "Unter Hypnose" ein weiterer Langfilm. Dieses einfühlsame Teenagerdrama ist ihre dritte Arbeit als Regisseurin abendfüllender Spielfilme.

Luc, 17 ans vit avec un secret qui l'étouffe : sa mère, Liliane, se prostitue. Abandonné à lui-même, il élève son demi-frère de 6 ans. Un jour Liliane emmène les deux garçons sur la côte d'Opale. Là, Luc se lie d'amitié avec Manuel qui tombe amoureux de lui...

Teenager Luc lives with his mother Liliane and his little brother Paul in Paris, has to cope with the fact that his mother is a prostitute and practically raise his brother alone. Luc is disillusioned. One day, little Paul wants to phone his grandmother in Nord-pas-de-Calais, one thing leads to another and suddenly the whole family finds themselves in a holiday in northern France. For Liliane it means a reunion with her mother, for Luc and Paul the reunion with their grandmother. And then someday on the beach Luc gets to know Manuel who teaches him lessons in love, life, fun, teenagerhood and friendship.
