First I understand now that this film was more so based on the original mirage comics with elements of the t.v. show sprinkled in such as the turtles love for pizza but when I was a kid I was always confused by how different their personalities were from the show. Leo and Mikie were very consistent with their personalities from the cartoon but Raph and Donnie were quite different. Raph is portrayed as the angry,aggressive loner of the group rather than sarcastic wisecrack he was on the cartoon. Ironically it's Donnie who takes on cartoon Raph's traits as the sarcastic wisecrack (quite memorably by Corey Feldman) rather than the tech savvy nerd from the cartoon.
