I had put off watching this for a long time but when I finally made time for it, enjoyed it a good deal. The performances are excellent - Anne Hathaway never better as the destructive recovering addict Kym, Rosemarie DeWitt excellent as the titular Rachel, Bill Irwin a warm and charming delight as their dad.
Favourite scene - probably Hathaway’s speech at the rehearsal dinner, a moment of sublime awkwardness. Given the rather weak competition, Hathaway probably should have won the Oscar that year.
