But this is a premiere! Premieres are not TMDb's primary release date -> you can read more about this in our Contribution Bible here:

"The primary release date used on TMDb is automatically calculated by looking for the first release that meets the following criteria in this order:

1. A "limited" or "theatrical" release
   
2. A "premiere" release
   
3. Any other release (digital or physical)
   

The first theatrical release was in Russia in 2008 - that's why TMDb uses 2008 as the year of release!
