Diskuter Rings

One of the main things that give me hope on the quality of this film is the fact that Vincent D'Onofrio is in it - he's an extremely talented actor who isn't really in the habit of picking garbage films. The original had such a wonderfully dismal, almost cloudy/overcast vibe to it, and of course Naomi Watts was easy on the eyes! :)

I found it enjoyable, unfortunately there's only ONE Ring (2002) to rule them all

I loved the American version of the Ring, was disappointed in the sequel, but this one was beyond awful. D'Onofrio is a good actor, but not good enough to elevate a story that completely stalls and goes nowhere for the majority of its runtime.

For those who have already seen it, is it just me, or was this movie seriously underlit? During my viewing, I couldn't figure out if the movie was filmed that way or if it was just a bad projection.

The film was unusually dark. I often wonder if darkness was intended to add tension as if something would pop out.

Even though it is touted as awful I do still want to see it. Bummer though :(

@K2000kidd or it could have been used to hide mistakes. I've seen rough cuts or advance prints that looked better.

I wouldn't call it a must see, but it adds a little more to the Samara legend and reveals some new stuff Samara couldn't do before. The ideas of the club was kind of cool i thought. i wish they had expanded on that a bit

I can't afford the $ to see it until March 1st, hope it's still in theaters!! I'm a major Ringworm. I'm avoiding spoilers. btw this site looks much better than imdb! I'll miss the boards format though.

nevermind 😡 now I've accidentally learned the spoilers about Samara's father, I'll wait till it's on Amazon prime to watch it and save my $$. seems they underused the entire digital/internet "virus" aspect so essential to the entire Ring storyline.

I found the original-original (ahem, Japanese) much better. @mandalamama please state that you are going to use spoilers. Even half-spoilers are awful and ruin the fun of watching films. thanks.

This was an awful movie. Not one scary scene. Predictable in every sense. To me, the japanese Ring (the original) is the best.

real original or the fake original? the fake original was actually a well made movie. the only good american remake actually.

I can't believe they included an overused scene of pulling hair out of the mouth.
