They totally fucked the character. Nobody has enough time to get to know either Clark Kent or the Superman character, zero discussion of which persona is doing what. I don't think anybody actually cared that Superman died in BvS or that he came back in Justice League.

Sad because I think Cavill could have nailed it if given the right materials.

I believe the new info on him is that he is not fully out...yet. So there is still a chance he will come back as Superman just later down the line. I really hope they give him the pay raise he deserves, at least IMO. I think he has the perfect look and with the right story and direction could really set a new precedent for Superman.

I honestly DGAF and that is sad. I liked that Snyder tried to do something different but the writing was just not there. And before anyone jumps down my throat for thinking I wanting something more lighthearted like the Marvel flicks that would be a NO. Nolan did a great job putting a serious edge with the Batman films and I think that could have been done with Superman as well. I just thought the plot was full of holes and pretty boring.
