I do not want nightmares of big freaky rabbits haunting my sleep.

I just didn't get this film. I heard such good things, and then... nothin'.

You need to see the directors cut. He explains the whole alternative universe, impinging on ours and causing all the anomalies .... Covers time travel, which plays a big part in the film, and makes things far more understandable. Still a very weird film, nevertheless!! I really enjoyed it.

it's a weird movie, but shouldn't disturb your sleep...

NOOOO i'm sorry but i cant disagree more. The Directors Cut is horrible in comparison. The pacing is slower, the effects are overdone, the explanations make the whole movie feel less ambiguous and dreamy which was the main appeal of the original version. The Directors cut should only be seen after the theatrical imo, for fans who want more footage. But the actual film is a lot worse, and lacks the beauty of the original's mystery.

I watched the original first, and only went to the director's cut for clarification. Maybe that's the best way to watch.
