The premise of the film left me cold; a film about the production of an old kid's film that I couldn't stand when I was young. Add in the one trick Hanks and the no trick Farrell and I wasn't holding my breath about watching more than 20mins of this before giving up on it.

But it is engaging and produced my favourite performances from Thompson, Hanks and Farrell. Really impressive to pull this off and completely defy my expectations.
