I agree, it was dull and uninspired. The slow pacing was clearly deliberate, and if the ending had been better it might have been worth it. Instead the twist was cliched and so effing obvious from the minute we met both men that the entire film just became a tedious game of "when will she figure out the obvious?"
I kept hoping the twist would be something a little more complicated, like they were both robots, version 1.0 and 2.0 or maybe Rainn Willson was doing A/B testing to see which was more believable. But, nope, just the obvious.
