The story was ok, Independence Day mixed with Groundhog Day, it reminded me of video games where you get to savegame before the action and reload if something goes wrong. I didn't think it did a very good job of it though. The first half an hour or so was exciting, but it went downhill after there. Some of the dialogue was cheesy, I still have a hard time enjoying action that is 99% CGI. I think it was a lot longer than it should have been, I probably would have enjoyed it a lot more if it was condensed into 1:20 to 1:30 ish instead of almost 2 hours. Ending could have been better too. It is all pretty typical of sci fi action movies, but I was expecting more because of the such high ratings.
