I agree, it's a great film. The fact that it's written/directed by a concert pianist & composer (Bernard Rose) explains how the music is perfectly integrated into the film. The way Beethoven's pieces are featured not only enhances the scenes but gives us a deeper insight into what the pieces may have been written about. Definitely one of my top 3 fave classical biopics.
